Abstract
The manner in which the insurer's obligations are fulfilled and the rights under the life insurance contract depend on which event in the life of the insured is covered by the insurance. The most famous and oldest insurance is the assurance contract payable at death. The article essentially emphasis that the new ones are constantly created according to the needs of life. The assurance contract payable at death in the event of, death concludes that upon the death of the insured person (insurance contractor or other person), the insurer would pay the insured person the agreed insured amount of insurance. Unlike the Republic of Serbia, where life insurance has almost died in the last decade, it is very widespread in economically developed countries and can be generally accepted. Hereinafter, given the complexity of the subject matter and respecting article size limit, will be presented the main specificities of this contract.
