ATTITUDES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE, PLACE AND ROLE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS IN STEAM EDUCATION
(Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, 2022) Gajić, Nenad; Cekić-Jovanović, Olivera
The natural connection between mathematics, natural and technical sciences should be present and visible through very intense correlations between the respective school subjects. In many educational systems, the field of STEAM is recognized, which implies a holistic approach and integration of natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, physical geography), technical and engineering sciences (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, hardware and software engineering), art and mathematics. The aim of the paper is to examine the views of elementary school teachers (N = 160) about the importance, place and role of modern technology and mathematics in STEAM education. The study discussed the basic theoretical starting points, possibilities and challenges of applying modern technology and mathematics in integrative STEAM teaching. Also, teachers’ attitudes were examined using the research survey technique, using as a research instrument an anonymous questionnaire created in the Google Forms web application as a five-point Likert-type scale. The research results confirm the positive attitudes of teachers about the importance of modern technology and mathematics in STEAM education. Also, the research results confirm that primary school teachers have positive attitudes toward and often apply modern technology and mathematics in STEAM classes for the preparation of materials, research activities and individualization of the teaching process. However, to a lesser extent, they attend professional development seminars focused on the application of modern technology in STEAM integrative teaching; there is a possibility to improve this important segment of education.

FROM PLANT MORPHOLOGY TO RHYTHMIC PATTERNS (OF MUSIC): A STEAM APPROACH TO STUDYING RELATIONS IN MATHEMATICS
(Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, 2022) Mladenovic, Jelena
In this paper, innovative procedures in working with students, applying the STEAM approach, and the possibilities of improving the quality of university education are reviewed from a theoretical perspective. The modernization of university teaching implies following global trends, with the primary goal being the formation of versatile, competent students who will be able to respond to the modern demands of society and participate in the exchange of information related to current scientific achievements while constantly strengthening their own capacities. During university education, it is necessary for students to develop their potential and competencies, have positive attitudes towards their future in the educational profession, and understand the importance of their teacher role when choosing an approach to educational work in kindergarten. The competence of the preschool teacher, as well as students, is reflected in the implementation of activities, activation of children’s potential, enrichment of children’s experiences, encouragement of creativity, and close exposure to phenomena and processes in the fields of science and art. Therefore, it is important to familiarize students with innovative approaches to educational work in kindergarten because they will be able to transform and properly apply the acquired knowledge later in their future work in order to ensure the holistic development of children. The paper presents an example of an activity that integrates the contents of the subjects of mathematics, natural sciences, and music, with the aim of highlighting the possibilities of improving university teaching through different approaches. Presented examples can be applied during the education of students (future teachers), which would strengthen their competences for working with children of preschool age.

REVISING THE ROLE OF THE HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS IN POST‑PANDEMIC WORLD
(Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, 2022) Lawrence, Snežana M.; Megeney, Alison; Sharples, Nick; Masterson, Brendan; Jones, Matthew
In this short philosophical and discursive paper, the main objective is to reassess a new emergent role of the history of mathematics in order to bring about greater diversity and engagement in the mathematical sciences. The discussion is based around the project undertaken at a North London university and their partner pre-university college, which piloted the larger national project in the UK in the local context. The success of the project, it is further suggested, would greatly benefit from a framework in which the history of mathematics as a humanistic discipline is closely related to viewing mathematics as a virtuous practice. We also include a short summary about the lives and careers of two Serbian mathematicians, Judita Cofman, and Milica Ilić-Dajović, to showcase how learning about the ways in which marginalisation takes place can help students position themselves and contextualise their priorities as they enter the professional mathematics landscape.

Teacher qualifications during studies for cooperation with parents.
(Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work, "AUREL VLAICU" UNIVERSITY, ARAD, 2022) Milanović, Nedeljko
Taking into account the extremely large contributions that the cooperation of teachers and parents has on the development of the child, the aim of this research is aimed at determining the qualifications of teachers during studies for cooperation with parents. 225 teachers from the Republic of Serbia participated in the research. The obtained results show that teachers believe that they have acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge about the importance of cooperation with parents, while the low level of teacher consent is represented in the claims concerning the practical part of cooperation with parents. Teachers did not have enough opportunities during their studies to see how the process of cooperation in practice takes place, as well as to attend various forms of cooperation with parents. The analyzed results of the research show that it is necessary to direct more attention to the practical part concerning the training of teachers during studies for cooperation with parents, where teachers will be able to practically apply and experience the process of cooperation in a real environment.

Krivično delo uvrede: zakonska regulativa i jezička analiza uvrede u sudskim presudama
Povezivanje prava sa lingvistikom omogućava interdisciplinarno sagledavanje odnosa jezika, stila i kompozicione strukture pravnih dokumenata i njihove uslovljenosti specifičnostima pojedinačnih pravnih oblasti.

Susceptibility to Peer Pressure – Self-Assessment of Students of Primary School and Preschool Education,
(LUMEN Publishing House, 2022) Radetić-Paić, Mirjana; Kadum, Sandra; Kopas-Vukašinović, Emina
People are known to change their behavior and decisions to conform to others i.e., to be accepted by peers. Peers play a significant role in adolescent growth. This study shows the findings of the research of which the point was to gain insight into students’ – future school and preschool teachers’ – self-assessment of their own relationships with peers i.e. to determine the areas and differences in susceptibility to peer pressure and in relationships with peers. The research was conducted on students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences Pula, Croatia and the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, Serbia (N=411). The results we obtained show that the area of greatest susceptibility to peer pressure on the observed sample of students supports the interpersonal theory. Variability in self-assessment of certain areas of responsiveness to peer pressure and relationships with peers according to place of study of the observed groups of students at the latent and the manifested level were also found. It can be concluded that the observed cities have different degrees of social and also psychological relations. The value of these results is that they enable insight into students’ various areas of susceptibility to peer pressure and differences with respect to different environments or places of study, which opens space for improvements.

The Significance and Impact of the Family Structure on the Proneness to Conflict of Preadolescent Students
(TechniumScience, 2022) Džaferović, Mirsada; Džaferović, Jasmin; Stojanović, Biljana J.
The aim of the paper was to examine the significance and impact of the family structure on the proneness to conflict of preadolescent students. The research involved 400 seventh grade students. At the very beginning of the presentation of the results, the proneness to conflict of preadolescent students was established. By applying the x2testfor one variable, it has been determined that the highest number of students enter into conflicts one or two times per month (N = 205). The second place is occupied by a group of students who enter into conflicts one or two times per week (N = 91). In the second part of the analysis, the Mann-Whitney test was applied, whereby an independent variable (completeness of the family) was crossed with a dependent variable (related to the frequency of conflicts, ranging from 1-very rarely to 4-daily).A conclusion was reached that a significantly higher number of conflicts (Z = -2.18, p < .05) are initiated by children from incomplete families (Mrank = 218.51), ascompared to children from complete families (Mrank = 192.16).In the third part of the paper, Spearman's correlation coefficient - rho (rs) was applied. A multiple regression analysis indicated that the educational level of the parents has a more significant impact on the proneness to conflict of students, i.e. that students who come from families where the parents have completed university education, master's or doctoral studies, more rarely enter into conflicts, in comparison with students who come from families where the parents have completed college, secondary or primary education, namely, that the lower the educational level of the parents (father or mother), the greater the child's proneness to conflicts. In order to examine the correlation between the sociodemographic characteristics of the family (education of the father, education of the mother and completeness of the family) and the child (sex and age),and the frequency of conflicts, a multiple regression analysis was applied. The predictor (independent) variables, presented as the sociodemographic characteristics of the family and the child, in relation to the criterion variable, which represents the frequency of conflicts, indicate the results of this analysis and point to the conclusion that the sociodemographic characteristics of the family and the child are significantly related to the outcomes of the conflicts (F(388, 5) = 2.74, p < .05; R = .185).

Personal And Professional Empowerment Of Reflective Practitioner Teachers During The Covid 19 Pandemic
(Scientia Socialis Ltd., 2022) Osmanović Zajić, Jelena; Maksimović J.; Milanović, Nedeljko
Reflective practitioner teachers should critically review their own work and introduce innovations that should improve everyday educational practice. For this reason, the focus of the research is on the personal and professional empowerment of reflective practitioner teachers during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. 355 teachers from the Republic of Serbia participated. The empirical research used descriptive methods and techniques of scaling and surveying with an instrument specially constructed for the needs of this research - Questionnaire with assessment scale (RP-COV-19). The results show that the most common form of empowerment is attending online seminars, while teachers rarely attended online classes of colleagues from the school where they work and colleagues from other schools. Teachers' perceptions on the use of the Internet in the aspect of personal and professional empowerment are very positive. Teachers generally rate their training and engagement during the pandemic with the highest marks (four and five), while there were no negative marks at all. Reflexivity accompanied by personal and professional empowerment must be given priority by teachers, because in today's process of education, reflective practitioners are considered successful teachers.

Globalization processes in the Serbian media language
    (2021) Spasić, Jelena
The aim of this article is the analysis of the results of previous Serbian research on the impact of globalization on the Serbian media language. One of the main negative aspects of globalization is the weakening of national identity in order to adapt to world trends. The negative effects of globalization processes include the decline in the print media circulation and the growing popularity of cheap entertainment content offered by television, the disappearance of analytical, quality press, as well as the adaptation of information to mass distribution. The Serbian media language reflects the general social trend of approaching European and world trends, which, in addition to numerous positive effects, carries with it the risk of neglecting the elements of national cultural heritage, including the use of the national alphabet. Globalization processes affect all levels of the language structure and as a result, they are also manifested in the Serbian media language at the phonological, morphological, syntactic and orthographic level. The Serbian media language is characterized by the unjustified use of internationalisms originating from the English language. Anglicisms are often inadequately adapted, and most often appear in entertainment news and texts about popular culture, which are addressed to younger readers, as well as in electronic editions of printed dailies, weeklies and magazines in Serbia. The effects of cultural globalization, which is perhaps most visible in the media sphere, can be mitigated if the elements of national cultural heritage are carefully preserved. The use of Cyrillic in the Serbian media, the use of anglicisms only when they are really necessary, and a critical attitude towards the adoption of foreign language patterns can reduce the negative consequences of McDonaldization in the media sphere.

ЕFFECTS OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: A META-ANALYSIS
(2021) Stojadinović, Miloš; Ristanović, Dušan; Komnenović, Milan
Project-based learning (PBL) is considered as an alternative to the traditional transmissive instructional approach. However, there is not a large number of meta-analytic studies that seek to synthesise findings of primary studies in order to assess overall effect of PBL on academic achievement, while in the national and regional research area such attempts are not present. This research had a goal of synthesising empirical findings about effects of PBL on academic achievement. Eighteen relevant studies (N = 2518) met the meta-analysis eligibility criteria. Statistical analysis under the assumption of random effects model points to a weak up to moderate effect of PBL on students’ academic achievement (Hedges’ g =.387 [95% CI:.027 |.747], Z = 2.109, p =.035). Results justify further research of the concept of PBL and discover the optimal implementation methods for this instructional approach.

Mechanical and Contractile Properties of Knee Joint Muscles Measured by the Method of Tensiomyography in Differently Trained Men and Women
(2022) Toskić L.; Dopsaj, Milivoj; Markovic M.; Toskić D.; Ignjatovic, Aleksandar
Toskić, LD, Dopsaj, MJ, Marković, MR, Toskić, DR, Ignjatović, AM. Mechanical and contractile properties of knee joint muscles measured by the method of tensiomyography in differently trained men and women. J Strength Cond Res 36(6): 1532-1539, 2022 - The aim of this study was to investigate the differences in mechanical and contractile properties of knee joint flexor and extensor muscles between differently trained men and women, using tensiomyography (TMG). The sample consisted of 159 subjects (84 men and 75 women), who were assigned to one of 5 groups according to the following levels and types of their physical activity: physically inactive, physically active nonathletes, strength and power athletes, endurance athletes, and team sports athletes. Measurements were performed on the following knee flexor and extensor muscles of the dominant leg: rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, biceps femoris, and semitendinosus. The results showed significant differences in contraction time - Tc (F = 1.911, p = 0.010) and delay time - Td (F = 1.989, p = 0.007) parameters between differently trained men and women, whereas in other TMG parameters, there were no differences between groups. It is indicated that physical activities characteristic of strength and power sports (combat sports and sprint disciplines) could lead to an increased speed of twitch force generation and fast twitch muscle fibers, and that almost any regular, systematic, and planned physical activity leads to increased muscle responsiveness. Obtained results also indicated that TMG parameters do not have enough specific discriminatory power for detecting differences between differently trained young adults.

Validation of Scales for Measuring Factors of Teaching Quality from the Dynamic Model of Educational Effectiveness
(2022) Bodroza, Bojana; Teodorovic, Jelena; Jošić, Smiljana
large-scale educational effectiveness research requires valid student questionnaires to assess teaching practices. This research validated eight scales for measuring teaching factors from the Dynamic Model of educational effectiveness (DMee). parallel versions of scales for measuring teaching factors in mathematics and biology were constructed and validated in two studies. in the first study, an exploratory factor analysis was conducted on data from 683 students. in the second study, the structure was cross-validated via a confirmatory factor analysis (Cfa) on a sample of 5,476 students. The multi-group Cfa resulted in an acceptable metric invarience for all scales, indicating that the scales have comparable factor loadings. however, unsatisfactory scalar invariance suggested that the scales could not be used to compare teachers of different subjects. Testing alternative structural relations between the teaching factors did not confirm that the data fit the DMee model adequately, although the fit parameters were better than for the alternative theoretical models. for mathematics, the external validation of the scales showed that the scales correlated with job satisfaction, external control, and teacher self-efficacy reported by the teachers. The scales are reliable and valid and could be applied to different school subjects.

Relationships between Milk and Blood Biochemical Parameters and Metabolic Status in Dairy Cows during Lactation
(2022) Andjelic B.; Djokovic, Radojica; Cincovic M.; Bogosavljević-Bošković, Snežana; Petrović, Milun; Mladenovic, Jelena; Čukić A.
This study aimed to determine blood and milk metabolic parameters and their correlations for the purpose of evaluating metabolic status in dairy cows. Blood and milk samples were collected from 100 Holstein dairy cows during morning milking. The cows were allocated to four groups according to the production period, including cows in early (n = 18), full (n = 26), mid (n = 25) and late (n = 31) lactation. The value of non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA), β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), glucose, triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TChol), total protein (TP), albumin, globulin, urea, total bilirubin (TBil), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), and lactate dexydrogenase (LDH) in the blood were determined. The following milk parameters were measured: fat, protein, lactose, urea, AST, ALT, ALP, GGT, LDH and BHB. Blood serum NEFA, BHB, TBil, AST, ALT, ALP and LDH were higher in early lactation cows, whereas glucose, TP, globulin and urea levels were significantly lower in early lactation cows. Milk fat and lactose levels were lower in early lactation cows, whereas milk protein and the activities of AST, ALT, ALP and LDH in milk were highly greater in early lactation cows. Milk fat was positively correlated with glucose, TP and TG, and negatively correlated with BHB, NEFA, TBil, ALT, LDH and ALP levels in the blood. Enzyme activities in milk were positively correlated with those in blood and with blood NEFA, BHB and TBil levels, and negatively correlated with blood glucose, TChol and TG. A significant positive correlation existed between blood and milk BHB values. Many correlations showed the same slope during all lactation periods. In conclusion, similar changes in blood and milk metabolite concentration during lactation and milk to blood correlations confirm that milk has great potential in predicting of blood metabolites and metabolic status of cows.

TEORIJSKE DILEME KONSTITUISANjA DOMSKE PEDAGOGIJE KAO PEDAGOŠKE DISCIPLINE
(Faculty of Teacher Education in Užice University of Kragujevac, 2022) Komnenović, Milan; Živković, Predrag; Ristanović, Dušan
From theoretical and methodological point of view, this paper examines the possibility and justification of establishing Boarding school Pedagogy as a separate pedagogical discipline. Three essential characteristics that determine the answer to the question were analyzed: a) the definition of the terms ’boarding school’ and ’dormitory’ in the relevant literature, b) the position and function of boarding school and dormitory in the educational system and c) the position of Boarding school Pedagogy within the science of education and its relationship with other pedagogical disciplines. It has been shown that, when it comes to boarding school and dormitory, there is an agreement among authors that these are unique educational system institutions that have significant pedagogical potential and impact on students. The educational role of the institutions highly corresponds with the one of family and school, but it is specific enough to be considered as a separate pedagogical discipline. Applying Bourdieu’s approach to determining social sciences, as well as a theoretical analysis of relevant scientific papers, the authors conclude that it is possible and justified to treat Boarding school pedagogy as a separate pedagogical discipline.

MOGUĆNOSTI ZA RAZVOJ FINE MOTORIKE NA PREDŠKOLSKOM UZRASTU KROZ PROGRAM FONETSKE GIMNASTIKE
(Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, 2022) Stanković, Slađana; Spasić, Jelena Lj.; Petrović Dušanović, Kristina Ž.
Recent research studies have shown a positive correlation between fine motor skills and speech development in preschool children. Children with specific language impairments have less developed gross and fine motor skills, while developed fine motor efficiency is a strong predictor of writing achievement and academic achievement in general. The purpose of this study is to determine and examine the effects of the phonetic gymnastics program on the development of fine motor skills in preschool-aged children. The research was conducted on a sample of thirty respondents, children aged four. For the purpose of this research, the test battery BOT-2 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition) was used, i.e. subtests: fine motor integration and manual dexterity. After the initial assessment, a program of phonetic gymnastics and fine motor skills was conducted using an integrated approach, using planned learning situations (PSU). Thereafter, the final assessment was conducted. The research has led to statistically significant results and highlighted the importance of implementing integrated approach programs which could enhance the development in early childhood.

MOGUĆNOSTI I KVALITET REALIZACIJE VOKALNO-INSTRUMENTALNE NASTAVE U USLOVIMA PANDEMIJE
(Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, 2022) Grkic Ginic, Jelena; Stanković, Milica J.
The paper presents the results of a research into the effects of music teaching within the subject Vocal and instrumental music course, which is taught at undergraduate studies of the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, in the pandemic conditions caused by the covid-19 virus. The traditional teaching has been replaced by new forms of work that involve the use of information technologies. This teaching model created a completely different environment for learning. The paper presents a research study aiming at examining students’ opinions and attitudes about the quality of online teaching, that is, about a different concept of teaching Vocal and instrumental music course. In addition, the goal was to collect data which could serve as a basis for improving the organization and the quality of teaching in the event of a new pandemic. The responses of 76 second year undergraduate students from Class teacher and Preschool teacher study programs were analyzed. The research results have shown that theoretical knowledge can be acquired through distance learning; however, song recordings cannot replace contact teaching and online teaching cannot be more useful than face-to-face teaching. In addition, the responses of the surveyed students have shown that teaching music should not be conducted exclusively online.
