Item ПРАШКИ ПРЕПИС (Š 19) СЛОВА О ПРЕКРАСНОМ ЈОСИФУ(UNIVERSITY OF NIŠ, Center for Byzantine-Slavic Studies, 2018) Anđelković, MajaAs a genre, apocrypha were originated within the intercultural code. With its fragmentary and dynamic narration it enables an easier reception. Contrary to their noncanonical status, apocrypha were quite commonly rewritten and used for reading. Some of them are preserved in various manuscript traditions, in more than one form and editions, among which is The Letter on Venerable Joseph. The paper analyzes Prague transcript (Š 19) on Venerable Joseph, as one of the transcripts of the primary apocrypha collection in SerboSlavonic manuscript tradition. By analyzing the transcript, its place in the primary collection has been established, while its comparison with the three remaining transcripts highlighted editorial differences and specific changes. Likewise, stylistic features of the text have also been taken into account, as well as syntactic variations in stylistic features. The conclusion offers the edition of Š19 transcript.
